You are located near the former border of Austria-Hungary and Montenegro. On its most protruding part, 3 km from here, the empire built one of the most modern fortresses just before the beginning of the First World War – Dvrsnik. The fortification was part of the complex defense system of the Boka belt fortress, built to protect the port, from the sea and the land. Symbolically and really, the system could be called the “iron curtain of defense of the military port”.
