This fortress is a great attraction for true admirers of military themes. Many come from distant lands and foreign countries just to visit it and experience European military history on the ground. For those driven by curiosity, fortress Strač is located on the thematic Route of fortresses and arms, where a brief history of the Herzegovinian belf of defense, fortresses and weapons was told on tourist boards. Originally Srač, popularly called Strač, belongs to the last generation of concrete-armored fortresses built before the First World War. The change in construction was due to the new generation of artillery, stronger destructive power and greater range, and due to that, in some places the fortress has reinforced concrete walls several meters thick. Together with Dvrsnik in Montenegro, it is considered a masterpiece of military engineering of that time. If you have a dilemma, it is definitely worth visiting!
